I’ve been a Girl Scout, honor student, islander, sailor, preppie New England boarding school student, hippie, stoner, creative writer, scientist, feminist, girlfriend, foreigner, expatriate, go-go dancer, bookworm, Spanish TV show extra, model, wanderer, biologist, lab geek, badass biker chick, Francophile, shy, outrageous, introverted, extroverted, drama queen, girlfriend, urbanite, web designer, UI architect, artist, suburbanite, vegetarian, omnivore, locavore, friend, farmer, chicken-owner, wife, mother, entrepreneur, researcher, domestic engineer, activist, cook, hiker, a Boss Lady, and a community organizer.

These days I’m a mix of entrepreneur, businesswoman, geek, mother, wife, gardener, cook, and science teacher. But all those other women are still inside, some waiting for a chance to break out again.

I live in the Silicon Valley, on the West side. I live with my husband, two boys and my dog.
