You're a girl now!
The other day I had on earrings and Julian looked at me, surprised.
"Mommy you're a girl now!"
"I'm a girl now? What do you mean?"
"You have earrings!"
"Mommies don't wear earrings?"
"No, a GIRL wears earrings."
"So am I still a Mommy now?"
"No, you're a GIRL now, not a Mommy."
Interesting. Anything that makes me look prettier also makes me less of a mommy.

That reminds me of a story from when I was little. We were at a party or something, my brother and I, with my parents (yes, they dragged us to adult parties sometimes, it was fun and we loved the hors d'oeuvres). One of my parents friends planted a big greeting kiss on my mom, and my brother and I were all "no, YOU kiss her first! No, YOU!" We didn't want to be the first to kiss our mom after the Other Guy had kissed her, hahaha! Funny how "mom" is different from "average chick" hahaha!!!
